Microsoft’s voice-based personal assistant could be called Cortana. Cortana is the name of the artificial intelligence in Microsoft’s hit video game series Halo. The Microsoft Corp is on its way to launch its brand new digital assistant. Since few days back until new leaks there were no solid obligations about it like what its name and features were. According to the leaked reports, it is named Microsoft Cortana. Currently in the development process it has the codename of Cortana, but it was not clear if Microsoft is interested in keeping this name or not.

The voice-activated assistant will use services such as Bing and Foursquare to source information. It will also be able to store searches and search results in a notebook to make future searches more relevant and faster.
According to early leaks, the virtual assistant will respond to voice commands to provide details on the weather, your calendar entries, and navigational duties.
Cortana may spread beyond Windows Phone in the future, becoming a part of Windows on PCs and the Xbox. An iPhone version, perhaps incorporated into a new Bing app, has also been rumored, but there’s some bad news for international Windows Phone fans: Cortana may be limited to U.S. phones for the first months.
