ANGARA ON ITS WAY TO FIRST LAUNCH TEST


Russian space agency have officially announced that the maiden launch of ANGARA rocket is 25 july and 26 july as backup. ANGARA  is family of rocket indigenously developed by the Russian agency . They have been in developed phase since 1995.

Features:

Its main feature is its versatile models. It is light, semi-heavy and heavy versions to lift a variety of payloads between 2 and 40 metric tons into low earth orbit.
It has two stage powered rocket propulsion engine. First stage consists of a liquid oxygen and kerosene powered engine. Second stage uses hydrogen and oxygen  so-called "green" fuels that will make the rocket both more ecologically friendly and safer for support personnel than the country's current largest rocket, the Proton.

Its importance:

ANGARA will provide aid to the only rocket PROTON capable of carrying astronauts to the INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION(ISS).
