HTC to develop Tablets and wearable devices

HTC have again cleared that it is in a course to develop Tablets and wearable devices after setting its iconic image in the handset market.According to our trusted source HTC  to develop Tablets and wearable devices. In an interview with The China Post on the sidelines of the company's flagship smartphone, HTC One (M8), HTC CEO Peter Chou confirmed that the company will launch the tablet and wearable computing products "at an appropriate time". The company officials clearly instated the release of the smart watch in the coming summer. Also the newly developed Tablets will be available at the mid of this year.

Rumors about NEXUS 8.9 Tablet   

The rumors are surfacing that Google have contacted HTC to develop the new NEXUS 8.9. The tablet is to go under production in July, and will be available in market by the end of this year.

Chou said he hopes the company will gain 8 to 10% of the smartphone market 'in the long run.' Presently, HTC's share of the global smartphone market is less than 5%. According to smartphone shipments data offered by Gartner, Samsung leads the smartphones segment with a market share of 31%, followed by Apple which has a 15.6% share and Huawei and LG registering a market share of 4.8% each. 

So it is clear that HTC will be facing a tough competition from Samsung, Lenovo, Apple etc.
